Ibiza the place to be!

Hi I am Nadine from XcuseMe and I am super happy to write a guest blog for StylishTravelTips.com, or in other words for my dear friend Kasia. I visited Ibiza already three times and every time it is great again. That island does something to me and keeps inspiring me! I am lucky to have seen a lot of the world, but Ibiza is an island where I would like to go a lot more often.

It’s an island with something for everyone. If you head to the south of the island, you’ll find a lot of famous Dutch celebrities and high class restaurant. On the west side of the island you’ll find a lot of places to go out at night, but the north-east part of the island is our favorite. You’ll find a lot of locals here, the real Spanish foods and great beaches and views.

Tip from Nadine

One of my most important tips: rent a car, ATV or scooter and go explore! That’s the only way you will find the most unique villages, restaurants and beaches. My first time on Ibiza turned into an exploration by ATV. By ATV it’s easier to just head into the little streets or the unknown beach paths.

The island has countless hotels, but I suggest you looking for an apartment! I myself, travel and book a lot through the wonderful platform called AirBnB. With AirBnB you’ll find yourself in the most beautiful places, houses or apartments and you won’t pay nearly as much as you would for a hotel in one of the party cities.

Favorite hotspots at Ibiza:

1. Anita’s Bar, hippie bar from the sixties

In San Carlos you can find Anita’s bar! This bar was the place to meet for hippies in the ‘60s and ‘70s and it still exists. A lot of memories have been saved and there’s a relaxed atmosphere. It’s always busy and you have to be lucky to get a table, because Anita does not do reservations. Last but not least: The food is great!

2. Cala Boix beach in a beautiful bay

This little beach I also discovered in my first year on Ibiza. It’s a little walk down, but once you arrive there you’ll find a beautiful bay and an even more beautiful beach. The water is clear blue and the beach of mostly popular among the locals. Start your day here with a book and an espresso and take a dive on your beach bed to sunbathe.

3. The Blue Marlin, the hotspot of Ibiza

The Blue marlin is the hotspot for people with a lot of cash! If you’re looking for a special experience, this is the place to be. You’ll spot a lot of famous people here. It’s not cheap but definitely worth the trouble to drink a mojito. For a moment you find yourself in the world of people with a lot of money.

4. Hippie market, Las Dalias

The hippie market is a well-known phenomenon among tourists. Unfortunately it has gotten out of control and these tourists made it a true ‘attraction’. It’s nice to have seen once, but my personal preference is to go to the small local shops with handmade towels, clothing and jewelry.

5. Amante Beach club

Last but not least and definitely my number one is my favorite restaurant/beach club on Ibiza! During my first trip to Ibiza, while we were driving our ATVs, a friend and I accidently came across a sign that said Amante Beach club. The logo looked great and we got curious.

Once we arrived there was a small parking lot that fitted a maximum of 20 cars and had a great view. After parking our ATVs we walked towards the restaurant. At first you walk down a small set of stairs and you have no idea what to expect.

As soon as you walk in, you see the amazingly modern decorated restaurant, but your eye immediately wonders off to the beautiful view. The restaurant is situated in a bay and next to Amante there is absolutely nothing! In short, it’s a private bay.

We took a sneak peek at the menu and found out the prizes here are pretty normal. I asked if there was a table available but that was only possible two days later. So two days later we put on our nicest dresses from the suitcase and went to Amante in our high heels.

It was a very special experience and we were sold. The food was amazingly delicious, the cocktails were perfect and the view was in word ASTONISHING.

The same night there happened to be an open air cinema. After our dinner we enjoyed a really nice movie, but in an even nicer ambiance. In short, it’s one of my favorite islands and a real must for everyone!!!
