The Foto Hotel was designed by four Thai architects with a passion for photography. This very trendy and modern hotel enjoys an idyllic location in the heart of Phuket. From here you have easy access to everything this vibrant peninsula has to offer.
The young and trendy Foto Hotel is located on Kata Hill, in the south of Phuket. It boasts one of the best views that Phuket has to offer. The panoramic look out over the three beaches on the West coast – Kata Noi, Kata and Karon are especially beautiful at sunset – so don’t forget your camera!

The concept
As soon as you enter the lobby, the “picture” theme becomes clear. The whole lobby is in fact decorated in black and white colors, from bright white sofas with camera icons, empty picture frames on the wall, to the iMacs in the corner and the old film cameras above the check-in desk.
The hotel had a special reason to use monochrome colors … namely to invite guests to make many pictures. In every corner of the hotel you can make a good picture where you look beautiful. Very thoughtful and hence the name 🙂
The concept of the hotel is implemented perfectly everywhere; every time you discover another thoughtful detail, you realize how special this hotel is. Being architects and not hotel managers, the owners motivate their staff in a different, and creative way. Guests are the heart of the hotel and the staff is very attentive on making each day a party for everyone. I felt here, immediately at home.

In the spacious, modern rooms – decorated in (of course) black and white tones – stands a huge king-size bed, a sunken desk, and a flatscreen TV is hanging on the sidewall. The walls are decorated with black and white photographs of Phuket and wise words of famous photographers.
Wake up with the stunning views of Kata Noi and the turquoise Andaman Sea, take a relaxing bath on your balcony, relax on the oversized daybed with a fresh cup of coffee and enjoy the tropical landscape. The free WIFI and mini-bar make the comfort of these rooms complete.

At the fabulous infinity pool, you can lie down on a couple of lounge chairs that stand half under the water. There is also a large (artificial) turf field that features large black beanbags and lounge chairs. On the background you hear continuously trendy lounge music. This is definitively the perfect place to relax and enjoy the super chilly atmosphere and to see magical sunsets.

Poolside restaurant Tiffin Mama
The trendy Tiffin Mama Restaurant is located next to the pool and is open all day for breakfast, snacks and dinner. Breakfast is a mix of a la carte and buffet with a selection of local Thai and Western style dishes.
In line with the rest of the hotel, Tiffin Mama has a unique presentation, starting with the special displays of spices, and other Thai ingredients drawn on a chalkboard on the wall.
The Silhouette menu offers tasty meals, followed by the combined lunch and dinner card with a selection of international and Thai cuisine.

How to get there?
The Foto Hotel is located in the south of Phuket, near the beautiful beaches of Kata Noi, Kata and Karon. The beaches are a 5 minutes walk from the hotel and Phuket International Airport is a 1.5 hours drive.
From Amsterdam there are no direct flights to Phuket, so you have to make a stop somewhere. That may be in Bangkok, but also the cities of Kuala Lumpur and Dubai have a direct connection to Phuket.
If you are passing through to the other islands you can take the boat (45 minutes driving) from Rassada pier towards Phi Phi, Koh Lanta and Krabi.
