The Resort

Twin Palms was built in cooperation with Martin Palleros —one of the most desired landscapers of Asia. Here, everything fits and is in harmony. The design of Twimpalms Phuket, surrounded by a blooming landscape and tropical water gardens, is ‘modern and tropical’, merging contemporary Eastern and Western influences.

When you arrive at Twinpalms, you first enter an open space inside the lobby. Here you are warmly welcomed with a glass of bubbles and a necklace or bracelet of fragrant buds. While you’re waiting, and tasting your drink, you get automatically checked in. When you then walk out of the lobby, you see the amazingly beautiful heart of the resort: the pool surrounded by the villa rooms. A fabulous picture!

Rooms

Twin Palms offers 97 luxurious and spacious residences, suites and rooms. Each surrounded by palm trees and a private terrace overlooking the pool and garden. The rooms have an outspoken and modern design that is combined with the use of dark woods. It is it a well-balanced mixture in which traditional Thai features are incorporated in the decorations.

The rooms of Twinpalms Phuket feature individually controlled air conditioning, a spacious bathroom, high speed internet, mini bar and a multimedia TV. And there is a 24-hour room service available what you’d expect from a true 5- star resort.

When you enter your room (read suite, so huge), you smell already the Thai flowers. Not much later, you’ll be treated to a special room service where you can choose different fresh flowers, that you can keep for your entire stay in your room. And if that’s not enough, you can select from 3 different pillow types your favorite pillow that make you sleep at best. A so-called “pillow service”. It’s all about the details!

Pool paradise

The rooms at the end of the pool on the ground floor, have almost all direct access to the pool that is situated in front of the rooms. So you only need to take a few steps down and you can already enjoy the water. At night it is beautifully lit, and if you want, you can swim under the stars. Or walk in the morning right from your room to the pool for a refreshing dip and then go for breakfast.

Facilities

At Twin Palms the use of 100% pure and natural products is key. Every afternoon, guests can visit the nicely styled wine room where three people prepare fresh fruit in front of you. Try the different kinds of tropical fruits that Thailand offers, like the tamarind fruit or the sweet Mang Khud, also known as mangosteen. This fruit is my absolute favorite and you should definitely try it once.

If you’re looking for relaxation, you will lack nothing at the Palm Spa, because they offer numerous treatments and massages. In addition, the spa area features a jacuzzi, a separate steam room and sauna. Besides the modernly equipped fitness center and the beautiful, tropical pools, have active guests of Twinpalms the choice from regularly changing leisure activities. Book for example a cruise on one of the yachts of the resort to explore the surrounding beaches and dive sites. How luxurious is that!

Palm Seaside Restaurant

The Palm Seaside Restaurant is located about 300 meters from the resort. If you want you can use a taxi service that will take you there and can pick you up. Whether it is for a lunch or for a romantic dinner, the food of the Palm Seaside Restaurant taste always exceptionally good.

Choose steamed or grilled fresh seafood, or go for one of the favorite Thai and international dishes. Whatever you choose Palm Beach is always a culinary treat. The selection of exclusive wines from around the world make your dining experience complete.

The restaurant bar is right on the sea. Palms Seaside is for that reason also a unique place to have a party or even to celebrate your wedding.

Surin Beach

I found this the most beautiful and amusing beach of Phuket. The fine sandy beach is situated in a small bay, hidden in the greenery, and has a great relaxed atmosphere. This golden beach is wide and is sheltered by palm trees that give a pleasant coolness in the heat of the day. Guests at Twinpalms Phuket get free towels for their sun beds or lounge cushions at the beach.

Behind the beach, you will find lots of small bars with good music where many young and trendy people meet. I had the feeling to be in Europe, to be more precise in Ibiza. During the day you go to the beach to relax with a bottle of wine in the sand. And in the evening everyone gathers here to dine with their feet in the sand.

Once night falls, the bars come to life; people eat and drink while enjoying the trendy music that plays. Super chill and relaxed with a nice ambiance. Also here you have the best spot on the sea and you can enjoy — in the late evening hours—  the moment that the sun slowly sets behind the horizon and everything turns gold.

I found Twinpalm Phuket a great resort to stay and together with Surin beach this is, in my opinion, the absolute hotspot of Phuket.

How to get there?

Phuket is one of the most popular islands of Thailand. It is a large island in the Andaman Sea in the south of the country, and has about 90,000 residents. On the island you will find plenty of smaller towns, the main town of the island is also called Phuket.

There are several possibilities to reach Phuket by bus as well by plane. From both Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Koh Samui there are daily direct flights to Phuket.

From Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, there are also direct flights available. Even from several major cities in Europe – such as Stockholm, Helsinki, Düsseldorf or London – you can fly directly to Phuket. From the airport, it takes about 40 minutes to reach Twinpalms Phuket Resort.
