Here we go again! Packing my suitcase and off I go

Traveling is in my blood and I take every chance I get to leave. Not only privately but also by invitation for my travel blog. And here we go again, today I step on the plane on my way to the Costa Blanca. I’m already looking forward to eating delicious tapas on a sunny terrace or chill out at a trendy beach bar enjoying the last summer days in beautiful Spain.

In the meantime, stress strikes again, because what do I bring? When I travel in Europe, I often bring only my hand luggage. Paying extra for a large suitcase I only do in exceptional cases. However, I’ll be traveling for 12 days, thus that’s quite a challenge! In this blog, I’ll show you how I, as a travel blogger pack my super nifty new suitcase and how also you can travel stylish and practical at the same time.

SUITSUIT MINT

This mint color is my favorite

My favorite suitcase

I must admit that I’ve worn a lot of suitcases, and I catch myself buying every season a new one. Little trolleys are especially my favorite! Very conveniently, if you like me, want to travel fast and like to take a last-minute trip toward the sun in Europe.

I hate to wait long at the check-in, so if possible I take a small trolley. With some mix and match, I manage to fit quite a lot, though the secret lies in the preselection in order to avoid bringing too much. I’m a fan of the color mint so when I saw the 50’s collection of SUITSUIT with all kinds of soft pastels, I was hooked immediately 🙂

What do I bring all along?

Ideally you like of course to take half of your wardrobe and so do I, but experience shows that you always bring too much with you. As a true travel fashionista, I like it simple. The trick is to combine clothes so that you can wear certain items more often, but then in combination with something else 😉

What I bring by all means:

  • 4 shirts – 2 dresses – 3 skirts – 2 bikinis
  • 1 clutch – espadrilles – wedges -toiletry
  • beach bag – accessories – pareo -book

Practical tips

If you are traveling, please be aware of not bringing any liquids. You can bring up to 10 transparent bottles of 100 ml, all assembled in a resealable ziploc bag, that you need to present at  the baggage check. If the flight is full, then it can happen that your hand luggage will be transported in the hold under the plane. Make always sure, that you can lock your suitcase when you have to send it off.

TSA Lock

In this weekender trolley, you will never forget a lock, because there is already a standard integrated TSA (Travel Sentry Approved) lock built on the side. The nice thing of the SUITSUIT is that they give a 5-year warranty on the trolley itself and that they guarantee the quality of their suitcases. That does not mean that it is useful anyway to take out a travel insurance when your suitcase, for example, gets damaged due to transportation.

Do you want to know where I’m going?

I’m ready to go and take you with me somewhere in sunny Spain. It is 28 degrees there, no clouds forecasted for the whole week, and plenty of sunshine. And I do believe I could use some color 😉

Are you curious where I am going? In my next blog, I’ll let you know which upcoming city I am going to visit.  Boats from Ibiza berth here and you see everywhere stylish bars and restaurants. The harbor is above all trendy, with cool beach clubs at the waterfront. Do you have already an idea? Let me know, because maybe you have a tip for me that I shouldn’t miss.
