During a trip to the west coast of Thailand you can not pass up a visit to Phuket. You can choose either the popular beach of Patong with a lot of high-rise buildings or luxury and relaxation at Karon Beach. The Karon beach is one of the longest beaches of Phuket and the sea there is fantastic to learn how to surf.
In 2013 in the hills of Karon Beach the Mandarava Resort opened its doors for the first time. If you want to enjoy all the luxury Phuket has to offer, this resort is an absolute pearl and a must to visit. This newly built resort is surrounded by a beautiful tropical garden. The resort has three amazing pools and offers a great view of the Karon bay and the surrounding green mountain scenery.
From the first moment you arrive, you are struck by the beauty and the wonderful design of this resort. Upon arrival, you are kindly welcomed and served at beck and call by the staff. While your luggage is being carried to your villa, you can “climb” the way up from reception through the beautifully laid garden. The higher you get, the more beautiful the view. The villas themselves are designed spaciously and equipped with all luxury. You even get two bathrooms, one with a walk-in shower with a rain shower head and one with a separate bath. Very useful for the ladies among us 😉
A stay at the Mandarava Resort is a real party, the only thing you have to do is enjoy. Grab a drink at the Mango bar in the pool or get the free shuttle bus which will take you to the beach of Karon Beach. At night you can have a lovely dinner at the open air restaurant, or walk down the hill close by to eat nice and locally.
If you do not want to be lazy all day you can use the fitness centre (with view of the pond and garden) or take a wonderful massage at the spa. The resort is laid-out grandly and offers something for everyone. There is a reason the Madarava Resort is loved by couples, but also by young families, because everyone gets pampered here. I still look back at a wonderful time that made our stay in Thailand so beautiful.
