Bangkok is the place to be for your trip to Asia. This cosmopolitan city you can’t miss if you travel to Thailand. It is often the first stop before you go on your way north or descend to the islands on the east coast or west coast. I advise you anyway to stay at least 3 days in Bangkok. During my last stay in this great city, I stayed in a very hip and modern hotel that I want to share with you. Welcome to the ultimate lifestyle hotel of Bangkok, hotel Pullman G.
The Pullman Bangkok Hotel G is located in the business center of the city and is within walking distance of a number of famous attractions such as the Temple of the Golden Buddha (Wat Traimit), the Night Market and the Temple of the Reclining Buddha (pho). It is a hip and contemporary lifestyle hotel and despite its immense tower, you feel like you’re stepping into a boutique hotel once you enter the hotel lobby.
Pullman G is a new concept within the Pullman hotels. These hotels are part of the Accor group. The Sofitel and Novotel hotels also belong to this chain. With this unique concept, Pullman G combines lifestyle, fashion and art. The designers were inspired by other trendy cities such as New York, Amsterdam and Stockholm and all of this is reflected in the fabulous design.
Not only Europeans find their way to this hotel more often, but Thai celebrities also come here often for a drink on the 37th floor at the “Scarlett Wine Bar” or for a meal at the trendy hamburger restaurant “25 Degrees bar” on the first floor. Here you find the most delicious hamburgers from the city on the menu. Highly recommended!
As a true “Dutchie” I feel at home in this hotel, but also more and more Asians choose the Pullman G hotel. Western influences are hot and you can see it in every little detail throughout the hotel.
Western food is becoming more popular and that’s only great if you want to enjoy a good glass of wine for example. The French management team knows well how to respond to this trend and has successfully launched the “Scarlett Wine Bar” where you can’t believe your eyes about the choice of French wines. The open kitchen gives you the feeling that you enter a deli counter where you can choose from special French cheeses and self-composed charcuterie dishes.
I personally believe that the rooms of the hotel are amazing! I like modern, white and light without being too clinical. For business people there are still the traditionally furnished Sofitel rooms, but I prefer the new design. I found the rooms very large and the view over Bangkok is fantastic! It feels like staying in a penthouse because the whole facade is made of glass. Depending on the location of your room you can even have a view of the river. And for the perfect sunset, you don’t have to necessarily go to the islands, you can also see it here 🙂
And while the sun slowly sets …
Once the sun has set, it is time to explore the trendy district. If you like to visit the famous Sirocco bar in Bangkok once, the Pullman G hotel is the ideal location to do just that! This famous Skybar is known from the movie where the Hangover was recorded. A short 15 minutes walk and 2 minutes with the lift, bring you to the top of the Lebua tower. This is one of the most famous Skybars of Bangkok and definitely worth a visit.
I am curious about your experience in Bangkok and maybe you also have tips to share. Share them below and I will possibly share your tip next time on Stylish Travel Tips!
