Borocay is located in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines. The island is known for its white sandy beaches and vibrant night life. In 2015, the island received the Traveller’s Choice Award for the best beach of Asia!
The center of all activities is the beautiful White Beach, a four kilometer stretch of sand lined with hotels, restaurants and bars. During the afternoon and early evening, numerous romantic paraws (a specially designed sailing boat coming from the Visayas region) are floating in the sea and colorful para sails are covering the sky. It is very busy, yet there is a convivial atmosphere. Every time you will find here something new … like the beautiful 4 star hotel The District.
When I entered The District Hotel, I was warmly welcomed by the staff, with their traditional greeting with one hand on the heart. The Filipinos are the most lovely people I’ve met during my trip in Asia. The welcome drink and cold towel was a pleasant refreshment. Welcome to The District!

How to get there?
From Manila you can fly with Philippine Airlines in just over an hour to Kalibo Airport. A two hour bus ride will take you to Caticlan port and from there you take the boat to Boracay. At Borocay Island, mini vans and tricycles will be waiting for you to take you to your hotel.
Philippine Airlines also has direct flights from Manila to Caticlan, so you can save the bus ride from Kalibo to Caticlan. Book this popular flight on time, because the longer you wait the more expensive you will be out.
