Aleenta Hua Hin Resort & Spa in Pranburi, is an original boutique luxury resort that is part of the “Small Luxury Hotels of the World” chain. This 5-star accommodation is located on the pristine beach of Pak Nam Pran Bay, at less than three hours driving from Bangkok.
Aleenta Resort and Spa is inspired by a Mediterranean architecture and features 22 unique suites, most with private pools. All suites are within walking distance from the sea and offer impressive views of the beautiful, shining Gulf of Thailand.
Pranburi beach
Aleenta Resort & Spa is situated on a kilometer-long golden sandy beach, with the name Pranburi Beach. Pranburi, about thirty minutes south of Hua Hin, is an up and coming location.
Although it is not as popular as Hua Hin, for me Pranburi is a hidden gem with its beautiful resorts, fabulous beaches with fantastic views. The village is situated in a very relaxed environment.
You can feel it immediately. The atmosphere and region is really different from the most visited coasts in the east, north and west of Thailand. I found it a very special part of Thailand, that I would not have missed for anything!
Villas
The suites at Hua Hin Aleenta are individually designed and offer an open layout. They all feature a private terrace and wooden furniture. They are equipped with air conditioning, bathrobes and slippers, an iPod with a wide selection of music, hair dryer, safe, free WIFI and a minibar (on request). A TV is not provided by default, but can be requested. People do truly come here for their rest and the beauty of the area.
Palm Pool Residences
The spacious, romantic and luxurious Palm Pool Residences are located at the beach, and surrounded by its own private garden. The Palm Pool Suites feature a king-size bed, large private veranda, a Jacuzzi and a swimming pool … and of course a beautiful view of the ocean.
Aleenta Beach house
The Aleenta Beach house is positioned right at the beach and offers a deluxe accommodation over two floors with a private terrace with lounge chairs and an outdoor shower. The master bedroom has a king size bed and a comfortable seating area.
When I walked into this suite, I immediately opened the windows widely and haven’t closed them ever since. I felt myself one with nature and all I heard was the sea. In the morning I was awakened by the first fine sun rays illuminating the beautiful room. You can perhaps imagine that I did not wanted to leave from here anymore…
Facilities
Aleenta Resort & Spa offers a range of facilities and activities to relax or to be active. Lay down on your hammock on the terrace and look at the infinity of the sea while in the background your favorite music is playing on your iPod.
Sign up for a cooking class and learn to master delicious Thai recipes, or enjoy an enlightening Vinyasa Yoga class, held at the Aleenta Spa. Do not forget to visit the beautiful Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park, with its steep limestone mountains, many caves, swamps and beaches, just 40 minutes away from the hotel.
In the restaurants of Aleenta, a culinary journey of Asian flavors is waiting for you. Each restaurant serves nutritious and healthy dishes, prepared with locally grown organic vegetables. Nice detail, each dish on the menu has is own carbon footprint symbol. Like this you are aware of the environment and how many kilometers away the products are coming from.
Tip: dine at night on the beach with romantic candlelight, accompanied by a cool ocean breeze and hundreds of stars above you.
The pool
Enjoy a delicious cocktail in the cozy outdoor lounge and bar, and relax at the beautiful infinity pool (of course with a fantastic sea view).
Kitesurfing
Pranburi is located on a headland, surrounded by water on three sides. That means a lot of wind! Because of this consistent wind, is it the ultimate spot for kitesurfing. Combined with the shallow water lagoons, and the long, wide, uncrowded beach you have the perfect location to relax and to learn kitesurfing!
From the deck chairs by the pool you can watch the whole day to the jumping scenes that take place on the water. You can also take lessons yourself a day or even a whole week to get kitesurfing completely mastered.
Sun, sea and beach in a tropical setting … what more could you ask for!
How to get there?
To reach Boutique Hotel Aleenta, you can fly to Bangkok and then to come down by train or private minivan along the South coast. The train takes longer (5 hours) but you do get a nice impression of the hinterland.
Aleenta Hua Hin is part of the Akaryn Group. Another resort where I’ve been, is Akyra Chura Resort on Koh Samui. Also this resort is situated (how could it be otherwise) at the most beautiful and white sands of Chaweng beach and is a popular destination on Samui Island.
