Thulusdhoo is a wonderful local island in the Maldives that you need to discover. The island is located just 28 km north of Malé and can be reached in about thirty minutes from Malé via speedboat. Thulusdhoo village, the capital of the Kaafu Atoll, is characterized by its colorful walls and sandy lanes. The coral reef that stretches all around the coastline of Thulusdhoo protects the crystal clear lagoon providing for unlimited surfing conditions on almost any given day of the year.
This surfing paradise offers though much more. It has stunning white sandy beaches, surrounded by warm turquoise waters and dolphins as regular visitors. Remember the name LUX*. This new luxurious hotel chain is working hard on the road to get a good reputation in the high segment of luxury resorts and hotels. On the world map, you will find LUX* already in Mauritius, Reunion, Vietnam, China, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and of course in the Maldives. In 2017 LUX* will open its second luxury resort in the Maldives called LUX* North Malé Atoll. I had the opportunity to take already a look at the new LUX* South Ari Atoll situated at one of the best diving locations in the Maldives.
Several years ago I was for the first time in winter in Krakow. It was snowing and it was magical. The main square of Krakow was covered with a layer of snow. Several horse carriages were ready to ride enthusiasts through the old town. Slowly it was getting dark and in the evening thousands of lights were illuminating the city, changing the town in a fairy tale. Krakow is also called “the Florence of Poland” and is known as one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. And that is absolutely true!
Today I fly back to this beautiful city, and it feels every time like coming home. Some of you may already know that I am half Polish and with my typical Polish name Kasia (pronounced Kasha) I am proud of what my both cultures give to me. I’m already looking forward to settling down in an authentic Polish restaurant and to ordering my favorite Barszcz (beetroot soup). The days just before Christmas are an ideal period to book a city break to Krakow as it is the perfect destination to get into the Christmas mood.

The attractive capital of Zagreb is located in the north of the country near the border with Slovenia on the Sava River. It is the ideal base for the perfect city break. The center of Zagreb is divided into two parts, the upper and lower city.
